What is ArtBeat, Inc.?
ArtBeat, Inc. is a producer of custom embellished garments by means of screen printing, embroidery, and other methods. Basically, we produce custom apparel! We've done shirts, hats, jackets, bags, coats, and many other things. Our artwork is top-quality and it shows on the clothing we make!

How long has ArtBeat been around?
ArtBeat is a well established company with well over 20 years of experience in the realm of apparel. With all of our experience and time devoted to making the best custom apparel, you can be assured that we will get the job done quickly and correctly. We are situated right in the middle of the beautiful Lewis-Clark valley on the borders of Idaho and Washington. From here, we send all of our apparel to our customers without delay.

What services does ArtBeat offer?
We are prominently famous for our artwork for car shows, team uniforms, and commercial merchandise. Our in-house artist efficiently creates the artwork requested by the customer. We use this artwork to produce your custom apparel in these ways: (1.) Screen Printed apparel, (2.) Embroidery, (3.) Air-brushed shirts, and (4.) DTG Printed gift shirts. In our showroom in Lewiston, Idaho, we also have a large gift shop, shirt production showcases, vinyl letter placement, and photocopies (color and black/white).

What is screen printing?
Screen Printing is the process in which we print our famous shirts and apparel. A stretched screen of fine silk with an image stencil is placed on the shirt and apparel ink is pushed through the stencil onto the garment. The garment is run through a dryer until the ink is "cured" (permanent).

How long does screen printing usually take?
As soon as artwork is approved by the customer, screen printing production is ready. Setting up the machines for the design can take from 5 minutes to an hour (Depending on the design and number of colors). The shirts are printed as speedily as possible. One finished, the shirts are shipped to the customer. The entire process, after artwork approval, is usually between 7 to 10 days (this is called Lead-Time). Seasonal fluctuations (Christmas or certain summer months) can cause lead times to increase a few days. Orders rarely take more than 2 weeks.

What kind of screen printed apparel can I get?
Our screen printing presses are designed and fitted to print in virtually any type of garment. Typically, we print on t-shirts, sweats, pants, and baby apparel. We've also done socks, jackets (of all types of material), and even blankets, tuba covers, and curtains! Not only can we print on anything, but we can print anywhere on anything! Sleeve prints, collars, you name it!

What kind of inks are available?
Our most common ink is called plastisol. Plastisol, when dried, has a plastic feel and is definitely the most popular, being light weight and very colorful. We also can print 4-color processed colors, similar to an inkjet printer. These 4 colors mix to create any color imaginable (this is good for getting photos or high-quality images printed). If you desire, we can add a silver or gold shimmer ink, or even a glow-in-the-dark coat. We can print up to 8 colors and that will definitely make great looking apparel!

What is embroidery?
Embroidery is the way of embroidering (a type of sewing) an image onto a garment, usually on the front of a shirt. Our embroidery machines use quality threads and needles to put any design on your apparel. We've done embroidery for businesses, charity groups, employee uniforms, hats and visors, etc.

How long does embroidery take?
Sewing can sometimes take a while due to the need for perfection. For that reason, most embroidery machines, going as fast as they can, still take their time embroidering. This causes our embroidery lead times to be around 3 to 4 weeks. Seasonal fluctuations (Christmas and certain summer months) can effect lead times slightly. Larger orders sometimes effect lead times as well, but we'll let you know when you order!

What kind of embroidered apparel can I get?
Anything, really! We use strong needles in our embroidery production so we can embroider on any type of material (occasionally excluding thick leather). We've done coats, jackets, hats, and blankets. We can also do plain ol' t-shirts, if you desire.

How do I get custom graphics and artwork?
We've been producing graphics and artwork for our customers for a long time and our artists know how to make graphics that are pleasing to the eye and effective as marketing tools. We keep up-to-date graphics programs readily at hand and study various techniques to produce our graphics. When ordering, ask us to do your artwork and you're guaranteed to like what you get!

How long before my artwork is done?
When we get your input for the art, production of the artwork begins as soon as possible. We are careful in creating the artwork in order to make exactly what you want. Along the way, we will send to you artwork "proofs" which will show you what the design will look like. When we send the final proof and you sign it stating that there are no further changes required, the artwork is done. It is then sent to our production facilities to be printed onto your apparel. Call for time estimates on how long the process will take.

Can I submit my own art?
Absolutely! If you already have artwork set up, follow the instructions on
this page and send it to us. We'll get it going immediately!

Why can't I order online?
The biggest reason we don't do online ordering (except at our
eBay store is that our apparel is customized by you, our customer, and we need to know exactly what you want. The easiest way to do this is to order by phone and talk to a real person. Our sales representatives know how to help you get what you want. If you have questions, comments, or even ideas on what you want a garment to look like, we're trained and prepared to help you out.

What kind of garments can I order?
We buy all of our garments from top-quality companies in order to produce for you apparel that is professional every time. Please check out our
Online Garment Catalog to see what we have to offer!
